A place where I can ramble about my projects.
Wow, I love the wifi config screen! You and Bronto (NDSMail) need to get together and share code. He needs your wifi/firmware code and you need his SSL code. Thanks for a very impressive update!
My code is already out for him to use if he wanted. However, I've asked him for his SSL code and he said "I'll put it out in a library sometime" and has never contacted me since.
If you guys team up to do one full homebrew, it will rock for sure!
Hello, very great work. but i have a problem with the homebrew database. I first get this message: "getting MOTD"and then:"no entries in database"where is the problem?
It'd be really cool if he had written NDSMail as a DSO executable, so that we could run it from within DSO. Doesn't make much of a difference for me anyway, since I don't use ndsmail very often. By the way, nice battery plugin, so basically the difference between a plugin and an executable is that a plugin is loaded at startup and may be a file handler also, while an executable is loaded when you ask for it and doesn't handle a certain file type? I'm thinking of making a plugin for .ics files as I learn more about homebrew programming, so that I can update my DSO calendar from my google calendar. I initially thought it would be a piece of cake but now I'm thinking it will take some time, at least a month for me to fully understand DS programming and how DSO works. Thanks for keeping it open source, at least some people might put it to productive use rather than simply profit from it. Whatever happened with that, anyway?
Your differentiation between plugins and executables is correct. Plugins are loaded at startup. File format plugins are not left in memory, but re-loaded on demand. Plugins like the battery monitor are left memory resident, and can hook onto the drawing function to output to the screen. Executables get full control of the DS's arm9 with the full api available to plugins, but don't have a file format associated. For the mediacart thing, go to http://nds-emulation.com/2007/09/21/interview-with-shaun-taylor-creator-of-dsorganize/
Nice work, fast and stable ^^Is a DSOrganize Version in development especially for DSO-Prugin and EXE developers?Only the devide Detection could be disable for this reason becaus the emulators for DS doesnt have DLDI support. But already now, this software is very professionally. :-)
U are the best of the universe, your app is just incredible, I think the scene needs you. Please never change. From Spain: EWOK
Thanx the Web browser works for me but if i let it sit alone while on it will Freeze for me but its all good with the small image supportE-mail email@example.com
Nice work, thanks.Do you think EXRAM suport would allow bigger image compatibility? If so, do you think in adding it? Or some sort of swap file (maybe a 256mbit FAT formated blank file)?I ask it because there's some sites wich freeze DSO, i thin it's due to excessive images (www.ndsbrasil.com.br/forum/, a IPB forum). And what about bitmap images for the skin background instead of plain colors?
Hey Dragominded,First, I'd like to say thanks a lot for your wonderful homebrew. I'm moving to england soon, without a computer, so I'm glad I'll be able to go on the web, IRC because because of your homebrew. But then and that's why I'm here, and sorry, it's a weird request and i don't even know if it's possible but since i'll use my DS and my nickname is septi¢ as you noticed (on most of sites and forums), i can't login because there are no way to type the ¢ on your homebrew.I noticed there are some spaces left on the éèàïô keyboard, so i was wondering if it was possible to add the ¢ aswell.I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, now whatever hapens, thanks a lot again, it's definitely a must have homebrew.
hey DM, any chance you could get Yahoo and Gmail working?
Gmail requires SSL auth wich have been discussed in this page. Please (Anonymous) try to read first.Only Bronto has SSL enabled library in his NDSMAIL.I too wish DSOrganize could have an e-mail and RSS feature.BTW, DM, DSO can read XML files and renders HTML tags, could it have a RSS reader?
Yeah... I know. I did read the other posts, what I meant was (Gmail and Yahoo) in the web browser.
Very good the WEBBrowser is very good. But wound it be possibly to use a slot 1 card for a ram expansion pack so the pics will load faster.for the dsorganize webbrowser
Does it still freeze on R4 while playing music?
Hi, i love your dsorganize, the option to download other software is so cool, i love it, but more downloadable software updates will be well recievied coming from you.About the browser, i see that if you clic in a direct lonk of an image, no matter the size, it downloads it and you can see it. It will be good if you put this downloadable function to any bih image, so you can clic the [img] link, and you can see it alone, just loke downloading it. Think if this is a good idea...
fingerzam I don't think so.
DM...great work on what is - in my Not So Humble Opinion - a "must have" piece of Homebrew software.Very customizable (icons!) and helps me keep my ever-growing homebrew collection from falling in to a state of disarray (without the 'hidden files' options, browing thru my files would be a disaster :)\m/
lol nice interveiw, I would be on irc more if I found my ds (i think it was stolen) x_x
Dragonminded dsorganize is a very nice program. I use it a lot. The only problem i'm having with it on my r4 is freezing with the web browser i think due to too many pictures. But Besides that its sweet. Keep up the good work can't wait till next release!!
